Canadians: GOUGED!
Inflated profits, regulations, and taxes keep prices high!
So says a great article written by Macleans Magazine. Take a read about the reasons we as Canadians are getting royally screwed and ripped off on all the things we buy! At first I was going to say, “what, you didn’t notice until now?” But then I realized it was myself who didn’t notice that’s already been close to a year since the parity… And to date only one of my favourite stores (a local comics shop) has been selling product for US-cover-price (and they’ve been doing that for nearly a year before parity so I’ve been saving a ton of money)… what’s shocking is how uncommon this practice is.
I can’t believe how little I buy from Canadian retailers BECAUSE of this price difference…
