Seattle’s KUBE 93

I thought I’d put up this recent TV ad from Seattle’s KUBE 93 in remembrance of the support I used to give KUBE. As some of you know, back in the mid 90’s I petitioned Rogers Cable to bring KUBE 93 to our cable FM lineup. We had many Seattle stations, but KUBE was missing and the only music format not available on the cable FM lineup, since KUBE played Rhythmic Hits. When Shaw took over our cable system, they kept KUBE on the cable FM lineup, and you can still lsiten to KUBE on Cable FM 92.1.
I remember meeting with the then president of Rogers Cable Vancouver, Glenn Wong to discuss adding KUBE to the cable FM band. I have saved many fax correspondence I had with him as well. I even had a small segment on KUBE 93 where I talked about it for a minute or so. It was a pretty cool experience, and a big secret to those of you who never knew how KUBE ended up on our cable FM. If I had not done what I did back then, we still wouldn’t have KUBE, as our cable FM frequency is full now.
Anyway, here is an old 90’s jingle and the new 2008 TV ad.

lame spot. it doesnt accurately reflect the energy or sound of the station at all… they come off as a soft adult chr, not the flamethrower they are when you crank it on the i5.
these cookie cutter generic commericals with videos and logos have to stop. theyre awful and do NOTHING to sell what radio, and kube93, has - personality
