Ok, here is my opinion of Tim Horton’s & Krispy Kreme Donuts. This is only a comparison of the Donuts. Before we had our first Krispy Kreme donut shop, Tim Horton’s made the best donuts, simple as that. Tim’s is a Canadian icon! However, Tim’s decided it would save money by firing all the in house donut bakers and start producing the donuts in some factory somewhere, and then storing/freezing them, and then shipping them out to the Tim’s locations. WTF!!! So today, Tim’s donuts taste like dried out crap! They are no longer fresh. How Canadians let Tim’s get away with this, I’ll never know.
Now, Krispy Kreme on the other hand is still making donuts fresh in store, everyday, and the taste is obviously better, unless your an idiot. The only slight problem with Krispy Kreme is that the donuts are a bit sweeter than Tim’s. If you can get past that, they are now a far supreme donut.
Tim Horton’s, shame on you.. selling out to corporate greed.
Winner: Krispy Kreme (For freshest donuts)!!
Tim’s better watch out also for Dunkin’ Donuts, as they are making their way into Canada. They have big plans to spread out all over Canada if they get their way! It should be fun! Tim’s needs the competition, since Krispy Kreme only opened 1 store in all of Vancouver. The more donuts the better!
V: Twenty years after invading, the Visitors now have a solid chokehold on Earth’s scientists, intellectuals, celebrities and natural resources. While there remains an active resistance movement, they cannot stop the domination of Earth on their own. Enter the alien Zedti. Enemies of the Visitors (though sharing their general lack of concern for individual human lives), the Zedti come to the aid of the resistance efforts. Throughout, it remains ambiguous whether the Zedti are truly friends of humanity.
If you watched this show in the 80’s it was pretty cool! So now here is the new book, and the writer is trying to get a new mini series produced to continue the story where it left off. If this is the case, it would look far cooler than it did in the 80’s. However, too many people have forgotten this story, and would be best to remake the original rather than the continuation as all the younger viewers of TV would have no idea what this show or series is about. It should be re-introduced to everyone with a fresh start.
Here is a recording of Howie The Hitman’s show intro on the former LG73.
Ahh.. the good days of radio! Howie was the best! Once 7PM rolled around, you know you had to tune into Howie’s show for some great entertainment!
Gordon Duggan of Appropriation Art has created a comic book following the recent battle over Canadian copyright reform. Very interesting, and it contains lot’s of information every Canadian should know about and how your freedom of expression is in serious danger! You can download it here: The 51st State (PDF Format)
This is a segment from The LG Morning Zoo way back in the day. It’s totally funny. They had a whole series of these short job interviews. I’ll post them up as I dig them up from my archives. This first one is Jason from Friday The 13th. Enjoy!
